Game Science has released a 15-minute gameplay trailer for Black Myth: Zhong Kui, offering a fresh look at the action-RPG following its reveal at Gamescom 2025.
Gameplay and Combat Details
The new footage showcases a switch in protagonist from the previous entry, Black Myth: Wukong, while retaining a similar slice-and-roll combat style. The video features the new lead character battling forest abominations in FromSoftware-inspired boss encounters, building a raft with an NPC, and diving into a lake to recover a submerged figure.
Alongside the combat sequences, the trailer includes lighter moments where the protagonist attempts to catch a large fish and receives makeup application. Game Science also included an accompanying poem in the video description referencing the Underworld and bygone deeds.
Platform and Release Status
As of right now, Black Myth: Zhong Kui remains without a confirmed release date or launch platforms. While its predecessor, Wukong, launched directly on PC, developer Game Science has not yet announced official system targets or availability windows for the follow-up.
