Game Science has provided a first look at Black Myth: Zhong Kui, releasing 15 minutes of in-game footage captured from a work-in-progress build. The reveal comes approximately one year after the project was first confirmed at Gamescom.

Gameplay and Combat Updates

The footage features an unnamed protagonist traversing a mountainous, derelict region. A notable mechanical shift from the developer's previous title, Black Myth: Wukong, is the inclusion of a dedicated parry button. While parrying was possible in the previous game, it was tied to a specific ability rather than being a core component of the standard moveset.

The showcase also included a boss encounter, highlighting the game's creature animation and visual fidelity. Despite the detailed presentation, Game Science has described the project as being in early development, suggesting a launch may still be years away.
