Following the August 4, 2026, launch of Beast of Reincarnation, developer Game Freak has announced that a series of continuous updates is currently in development. The first patch is scheduled to arrive within one week of August 5.
Confirmed Patch Changes
The studio stated via social media that this update will focus on addressing initial player feedback through the following adjustments:
- Story Pacing: Improvements to the game's narrative flow, with further adjustments planned for future updates.
- Camera: Adjustments to camera behavior to improve visibility and navigation.
- Text Size: An increase to the font size to enhance readability.
- Graphics Settings: The default graphics setting will be changed from cinematic mode to performance mode.
These changes are part of a broader, ongoing effort by the developer to refine the action RPG. While the current focus is on these initial fixes, Game Freak indicated that story-related adjustments will remain a long-term priority.
Player Impact
The update will be pushed to the PC version of the game. Players do not need to take manual action to initiate these changes, though they should ensure their game client is updated once the patch is live. The move to a performance-focused default setting is intended to help the game run more smoothly for users who have not manually adjusted graphical settings.
