One year after being removed from Steam, the narrative FMV horror game Vile: Exhumed is returning with a physical release. Developed by Cara Cadaver (Final Girl Games), the title was pulled from Valve’s storefront in 2025 during a wider industry conflict involving payment processors and adult-themed games.

The upcoming physical edition is priced at $10. According to the developer, the game will be packaged in a jewel case featuring “visually distressed paper inserts,” with the entire set designed to resemble a black plastic bag sealed with duct tape.

Charitable Commitment
In addition to the release, Cara Cadaver announced a charitable component to the project. Fifty percent of all proceeds from the physical sales will be donated to a charity supporting families, refugees, and women escaping violence.

Vile: Exhumed explores themes of parasocial obsession, sexual assault, and misogyny. While the game addresses sensitive subject matter, it does not contain nudity. Following its removal from Steam in 2025, the developer made the game available as a free download, allowing players to contribute via direct donations instead.
