Lowering the red bridge in Big Walk is the primary obstacle preventing progress from the game's opening area. To clear this roadblock, you must collect four 'red gourd' reward objects by completing specific environmental puzzles, then use them to craft a key.

Step 1: Solve the Four Red Gourd Puzzles

You can locate these puzzles by heading down the stairs from the tutorial room and moving toward the cliff edge. You will need at least one friend to complete these via online crossplay, as couch co-op is not supported.

  • Blue House / Symbols: One player hits the button in the left section to randomize and hide the five symbols. They must communicate the sequence to the second player, who enters the symbols on the wall tiles and hits the adjacent button.
  • Green Pillars / Switches: All players must stand at their respective pillars and hit the switches simultaneously. Use a non-verbal signal (such as dropping a raised arm) to coordinate the timing, as proximity voice chat will not reach across the distance.
  • Orange Platform / Telescope: One player remains on the platform to hold the button, which opens the locked box containing the gourd and marks it with a red light. The other player travels to the opposite side to collect the item.
  • Yellow Girders / Crane: Stack players by interacting to climb onto shoulders. The top player must jump to reach the button on the underside of the horizontal beam. If the player at the bottom jumps, the stack remains intact, allowing for multiple attempts.

Step 2: Obtain the Key

Once you have all four red gourds, proceed to the platform with four buttons near the beach. One player must hold each button while another places the corresponding gourd into the holder. Once all four are deposited, the key is released.

Step 3: Cut the Key and Lower the Bridge

Take the key to the pillar immediately to the right of the button platform and insert it into the keyhole. This carves the first notch. Follow the arrow on top of the pillar to find the next keyhole and repeat this process until the key is fully prepared. Finally, carry the cut key up the red walkway along the cliff, insert it into the recess by the red bridge, and cross to the other side to trigger your progress and unlock the associated achievement.
