Nihon Falcom has released Version 1.0.7 for Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter, a “Legacy Patch” designed to align the game's terminology and pronunciations with the rest of the series. The update is now available across all platforms, including Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, and PC, ahead of the 2nd Chapter launch this September.
Terminology and Pronunciation Changes
The developer prioritized updates to English terms and voice lines to ensure continuity for players moving into later titles. While character names and specific Trails in the Sky terminology remain largely unchanged to preserve the original experience, several key items and locations have been updated:

- “Shield-Type” quartz is now renamed to “Guard-Type” to prevent confusion with the new “Shield” terminology.
- “Blade-Type” quartz names now reflect the specific status ailments they inflict.
- Fish names have been updated (e.g., “Orosho” is now “Tiger Rockfish”).
- Graphic assets have been updated to reflect the new terminology.
Bug Fixes
Beyond the localization changes, the 1.0.7 update addresses several technical issues, including:
- Fixes for crashes caused by insufficient memory.
- Resolutions for crashes occurring during specific operations.
- General fixes for miscellaneous text errors and bugs.
