Fresh handheld footage has emerged for The Witcher III: Wild Hunt - Remastered running on the Nintendo Switch 2. Captured at Gamescom, the video provides an early look at how CD Projekt Red's open-world RPG holds up on Nintendo's new console ahead of its late-September release.

While the newly shared footage showcases an earlier build of the game that may not be fully representative of the final product, the technical targets are coming into focus. CD Projekt Red confirmed that the Switch 2 version targets a 30fps frame rate while capable of pushing up to 40fps thanks to variable refresh rate (VRR) support.
Beyond frame rates, the remaster incorporates enhanced combat mechanics and visual improvements designed to leverage the hardware capabilities of the Switch 2. Mouse and gyro controls are also confirmed for the upcoming release.
