The Crunchyroll anime streaming application is officially leaving the Nintendo Switch. According to a notification sent to users by the streaming service, support for the platform will end on October 30, 2026, at which point the app will no longer be available on the eShop.
Quick Facts
- App Closure Date: October 30, 2026

The app originally launched on Nintendo's hybrid console in February 2022. With the upcoming shutdown, users who relied on the system for streaming will need to transition to alternative hardware. Crunchyroll has confirmed that existing accounts and active subscriptions will transfer seamlessly to any of the more than 30 other supported devices and platforms where the service operates.
