CD Projekt Red has officially announced that The Witcher III: Wild Hunt Remastered is coming to the Nintendo Switch 2 on September 29, 2026. This version of the acclaimed RPG will feature updated visuals, improved traversal, and enhanced combat mechanics.
Upgrade Details and Availability
The developer has confirmed the release will be a free update for existing owners of the game. While the transition for digital owners is expected to be seamless, the studio has yet to provide specific instructions on how physical cartridge owners will redeem the upgrade. New Content and Expansion
Beyond the technical enhancements, the Switch 2 release will include a new expansion titled Songs of the Past. The absence of previous announcements regarding this version was attributed to the hardware limitations of the original Nintendo Switch, which will not support this updated release.
