Developer Chris Cote and publisher Kwalee have announced that Welcome to Elderfield will launch on PC via Steam on September 10, 2026. The title blends cozy farming simulation mechanics with horror elements, featuring a distinct hand-drawn art style inspired by horror manga.

Gameplay and Features

In Welcome to Elderfield, players manage their own farm while exploring a town filled with mysteries. Beyond standard farming activities like planting crops—which include otherworldly varieties like eyeballs and teeth—players can fish, forage, and mine to gather resources. The game also features a relationship system, allowing players to befriend and romance local townsfolk.

The experience includes a turn-based combat system designed for players who want a challenge, as well as optional difficulty modes for those who prefer a more relaxed, peaceful experience. Combat encounters require the use of equipment, buffs, and gathered resources to survive against Lovecraftian creatures.
