Publisher Nintendo and developer Monolith Soft have released a two-minute overview trailer for Xenoblade Chronicles 2 – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition, detailing performance enhancements, new battle systems, and launch timing for the updated RPG.

Enhanced Visuals and Performance
The updated adventure follows scavenger Rex and the living weapon Pyra as they traverse civilizations resting on the backs of dying Titans. This version improves upon the original hardware with 4K resolution in TV mode and full HD in handheld mode. Both display modes target 60 frames per second alongside smoother and sharper cutscenes.
New Content and Battle Features
Beyond visual upgrades, the Nintendo Switch 2 Edition introduces fresh content for players returning to the sea of clouds. A new rare Blade is available to discover alongside a dedicated quest. Players can also directly command the Blades they send on mercenary missions using a new action battle mode.
Additionally, the release includes exclusive equipment design unlocks to customize the appearance of Pyra and Mythra. The digital launch arrives on July 30, with physical cartridges scheduled to reach retailers on October 1.
