Publisher Colorful Palette and developer Egg Hatcher have confirmed that the daughter-raising simulation game Volcano Princess is expanding to new platforms. Following its initial PC launch in 2023 and the subsequent Microsoft Store release, the title will arrive on PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, iOS, and Android on July 30, 2026.
Quick Facts
- Release Date: July 30, 2026
- New Platforms: PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, iOS, and Android
- Steam Update: Free content update scheduled for October
- Demo Availability: Prologue demo currently live on all new platforms
Players looking to get a head start can access the Volcano Princess “Prologue” demo now on all four newly announced platforms. However, keep in mind that progress made in the demo will not carry over to the full release when it launches next month.
What to Expect in the Multiplatform Release
This version of the game introduces several additions, including full Japanese voice support, newly written story content, fresh event illustrations, and a brand-new exploration map. The game centers on a volcanic kingdom where players take on the role of a father raising his daughter. With over 50 unique endings, player choices regarding career paths and personal bonds directly influence how the story unfolds.
Combat remains a core component of the experience. As a knight of the kingdom, players must lead allies into dangerous dungeons to fight off monsters. The narrative culminates in a confrontation with the Owl Lady, the leader of the monster threat, with player decisions uncovering secrets about the past and the kingdom itself.
New Content for Existing PC Players
PC players who already own the game on Steam won't be left behind. The developer confirmed that the new content debuting on consoles and mobile—including the "Path of Two Shadows" dungeon, additional items, and new story episodes—will be released for the Steam version as a free update this October.
