Following a viral trend that saw developers and fans creating mock-ups of a raccoon nicknamed “Jimothy,” several MMO studios have confirmed that the creature is officially heading into their games. The movement, which originated in Seattle, Washington, quickly gained traction across the industry.

Guild Wars 2

ArenaNet has confirmed that a Jimothy pet is coming to Guild Wars 2. The studio released a video featuring the creature and set a specific release date for Tuesday, August 11, 2026. Players will be able to find and collect the pet within the city of Lion’s Arch.

World of Warcraft

Blizzard Entertainment has announced that a version of Jimothy is coming to World of Warcraft. While the studio issued a press release and confirmed the addition via social media, they have not yet provided a specific release date or additional gameplay details regarding the pet's acquisition.

AdventureQuest 3D

Artix Entertainment has implemented the content into AdventureQuest 3D. Players can acquire the pet by speaking with the NPC Talia in Battleon. Additionally, the game’s "Special Promo Shop" includes a free hat, and a Jimothy mount has been added to the "Premium Mounts" section for adoption.

Status of Old School RuneScape

Despite early interest from the community, Jagex has not announced plans to bring a Jimothy pet to Old School RuneScape. The studio has instead focused its recent communication on content related to Avatar: The Last Airbender and the current player-versus-player activity occurring in the Wilderness.
