Epic Games has launched Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 4, officially titled Override. The update brings a new slate of Gaming Legends crossovers to the island, introducing both cosmetic characters and specific gameplay mechanics.
New Gaming Legends Crossovers
The Override season features a variety of iconic gaming characters, many of whom come with unique gear and abilities:
- Crash Bandicoot
- Mega Man: Players can equip the Mega Buster.
- Spyro the Dragon: Appears as an in-game Sidekick.
- Pac-Man
- Sonic the Hedgehog: Includes high-speed movement mechanics.
- Joker (Persona)
Additionally, a blocky version of Tails from the Sonic franchise has been added to provide transportation, and a 1UP coin item is now available to assist with player revivals.
Status of Kingdom Hearts Collaboration
While industry speculation previously pointed toward a Kingdom Hearts crossover, Sora and the Keyblade did not appear in the launch trailer for Override. As of now, this collaboration remains unconfirmed. Based on standard release patterns, characters missing from the initial seasonal lineup are often released later via the in-game Item Shop, though Epic Games has provided no official confirmation regarding a future release for the franchise.
