Gameplay and Features

Carrier Command 2 serves as a modern sequel to the 1988 original. The game functions as a military simulation centered on a single carrier ship operating across a chain of contested islands. Players manage a floating fortress, gathering radar intelligence and deploying a variety of military assets, including aircraft, drones, and amphibious units.

The gameplay loop requires players to shift between high-level strategic command and direct first-person control. From the carrier bridge, players plan operations, while the cockpit view allows for the execution of maneuvers during combat. Capturing islands provides resources that expand the player's logistical network and production capabilities. The title also features a multiplayer mode allowing two players to divide command duties between them.
