Following a short delay for his debut title Spanking Exorcist, the solo developer known as Actor has released a free, tongue-in-cheek apology game that allows players to physically "spank" his digital likeness.

Quick Facts

  • Game Title: Spanking Exorcist
  • Original Launch Date: July 24, 2026
  • Actual Launch Date: July 30, 2026
  • Current Platform: PC via Steam
  • Current Price: $5.99 ($5.39 with 10% launch discount)

Spanking Exorcist, a comedy horror game centered on exorcising spirits from the Peach Butt Housing Complex, was forced to pause its release when the Steam review process extended past the planned July 24 date. The developer noted that he spent approximately one month in discussions regarding whether certain elements of the game were too sexual for the storefront.

To address the delay, Actor released a separate, free Windows title titled A Game Where You Can Spank Actor. Distributed via a Google Drive link on his social media, the game features a button that triggers a slapping sound effect and an animation of the developer's profile icon. The apology game also includes a direct link to the main Spanking Exorcist Steam page.

The review delay was resolved on July 30, allowing the developer to release the full game on Steam shortly after.
