Maze games traditionally focus on finding the quickest exit, but Go North Sends Players on a very different kind of journey. Rather than rushing toward a finish line or engaging in combat, the adventure encourages players to slow down, explore, and focus on curiosity.

The Quest for the Maze God

Players step into the shoes of Dara, a young explorer referred to as a Littler. The primary objective is to reach the northernmost edge of the world to find the mysterious Maze God. According to legend, any determined explorer who successfully reaches him receives a single wish.

Every step of the journey is hidden behind sprawling labyrinths designed to test observation skills, problem-solving abilities, and perseverance. While the exits always lie due north, figuring out the correct route through the hedges and corridors requires patience and clever thinking.

Tools, Gadgets, and Arcade Mode

To keep exploration fresh, Dara can uncover various magical and technological gadgets along the way. Useful items range from straightforward tools like a hoverboard for quicker movement to unusual aids like a robotic mouse capable of sniffing out the correct path to the exit.

Alongside these tools, players encounter environmental puzzles, hidden passages, riddles, and optional secrets that reward wanderers who step off the main path. The story unfolds across carefully designed environments, while Arcade Mode opens up an endless stream of procedurally generated mazes once the main adventure is finished. Players can also hunt down a Golden Compass in each maze and customise Dara with hats, scarves, backpacks, goggles, and other unlockable cosmetics.
