To celebrate the upcoming launch of Gears of War: E-Day, developer The Coalition has partnered with Gibson Guitars to create a limited, hand-painted collection of instruments. The project features custom designs inspired by franchise protagonists Marcus Fenix and Dominic Santiago, illustrated by artist Luke Preece.

The Custom Guitar Collection
The collection consists of four total instruments, each signed and numbered as a unique piece. The designs utilize two iconic Gibson models:
- Marcus Fenix (Les Paul): Features a weathered skull design, chainsaw motifs, and textures inspired by the Locust blood and chaos of Emergence Day.
- Dominic Santiago (SG): Incorporates themes of pathos and remembrance, featuring crimson poppies, barbed wire, and angelic imagery.
These instruments were used by composer Adam Lastiwka during the recording of the game's soundtrack, further integrating the brand partnership into the franchise's musical identity.
