Visual and Technical Improvements
Most of the updates center on technical and graphical overhauls. Players will also notice foliage shading reworks, updated textures, refreshed motion blur, ambient occlusion rendering (GTAO), and improved HDR alongside specific PS5 Pro support.
Gameplay and Combat Adjustments
Beyond graphics, the update introduces notable adjustments to mechanics and traversal. The game features enhanced combat, refined animations, new combat finishers, and updated Witcher signs FX. Traversal and movement have been smoothed out with better jumping and climbing animations, while mount handling gives players greater control over Roach during gallops.
Progression systems also see a shake-up through a skill tree revamp that presents perk progression via interlocking skill tree branches. Additional quality-of-life additions include transmogrification for armor appearances, immersive meditation animations that display the passage of time, a looting system rework, new quest tracking, tutorial modernisation, and cross-platform mod support.
