Capcom has updated the PlayStation 5 demo for Onimusha: Way of the Sword, providing an expanded look at the upcoming action-adventure title. The update is available now for all PS5 users.
What's New in the Demo
The updated demo builds upon the initial release, which originally concluded following a boss fight against Sasaki Ganryu. This new version extends the experience, allowing players to progress through an additional otherworldly location. The extended demo culminates in a second boss battle against a giant demon named Daidara.
How to Access the Update
The update process depends on your current installation status:
- Existing players: You must download a 9.6GB patch to access the new content.
- New players: You can download the full, updated demo directly from the PlayStation Store.
While player progress from the demo will not carry over to the final retail release, completing the demo provides exclusive in-game rewards for the full game. Onimusha: Way of the Sword is set to launch on September 4, 2026.
