Insomniac Games has officially announced that Marvel's Wolverine has gone gold, meaning the 1.0 version of the game is complete and ready for manufacturing. The title remains on track for its scheduled release on PlayStation 5 on September 15, 2026.
Physical and Digital Release Details
The studio confirmed that the full version of the game will be contained on the physical disc. However, players should expect a required day one patch to be available via digital download upon the game's launch. Insomniac also highlighted that players will be able to unlock and equip gold claws for Logan as a cosmetic feature.
Game Structure
Unlike the developer's previous open-world titles, such as Marvel's Spider-Man, Marvel's Wolverine is designed as a linear experience. The game focuses on cinematic, action-heavy sequences and represents the next major first-party exclusive for the PS5 platform.
