Social media speculation regarding a second unannounced Elder Scrolls game was quickly put to rest over the weekend. The rumors began after the LinkedIn profile of Griffin DeClaire—a former associate quest designer at Bethesda who left following Microsoft's recent mass layoffs—listed an "unreleased Elder Scrolls title."
While social media users and several gaming websites interpreted the listing as evidence of an entirely separate project in the works, DeClaire quickly debunked the speculation. The listing simply referred to The Elder Scrolls 6.
Bethesda leadership has previously confirmed that the studio's development efforts are almost entirely dedicated to The Elder Scrolls 6, which has yet to be shown in any meaningful capacity. While developer profiles and job listings frequently spark community discussion, they often lead to misinterpretations regarding studio pipelines and unannounced games.
