TennoCon 2026 has officially wrapped, and with it comes the confirmation that Warframe is finally heading beyond the Origin System. Players will soon travel to the Tau System, a region orbiting a binary star that introduces a darker, more dangerous environment for Tenno to explore.

Enter the Tau System and Fornax

The journey into Tau begins in Fornax, a city described as a "lawless ring city" defined by its decay, black rain, and criminal underworld. The area is run by a kingpin known as the Hunra, and players will need to navigate this urban environment while contending with a new faction of evolved Sentient enemies. The update also introduces Warframe's first original card game, Portau, which can be played at the city's casino.

To assist in navigating this criminal underworld, the game is introducing Brysko. This noir-inspired Warframe operates with an honorable but cynical ethos, utilizing the "Corecracker" Exalted Pistol and "Rain & Shine" fist weapons to get the job done.

Fall 2026 Content Roadmap

Before the full Tau expansion hits, the "Iceblade of Narin" update is set to drop this fall. Digital Extremes confirmed that this update will include:

  • The 66th Warframe.
  • A full rework and new Deluxe Collection for Banshee.
  • A new gothic-inspired Deluxe Skin for Qorvex.
  • The release of Citrine Prime Access.

Fleet Vessels and Community Events

Those who participated in the in-game TennoLive 2026 Relay were treated to a look at the player's new Vessel. Starting July 13, any player who has finished the "Vor's Prize" quest can customize their Vessel at any Dry Dock.

The summer schedule remains packed with activity. The "Dog Days" seasonal event returns on August 4 with new community-designed Glyphs. Additionally, a 1999-themed content drop is coming in August, featuring a new Nightwave and a narrative adventure titled "Fables & Frontiers: Running Late." For console players, Warframe is also making its way to Fortnite, where players can equip a new Excalibur Outfit.

Soulframe Updates

The developer also provided a significant update on Soulframe, showcasing a new gameplay trailer, the addition of fishing mechanics, and upcoming mounts. Players can currently challenge the Mendicant Reinbreaker in-game, and a full recap of the Soulframe TennoCon 2026 Devstream is available on the official Soulframe website.
