Update V13 has arrived on PC, marking the first major step in a series of balancing adjustments. The developers, responding to feedback that gameplay felt like a grind and funds depleted too quickly, have implemented wide-ranging changes to the game's economy and order requirements.

Economic and Order Adjustments

The patch significantly alters how players generate income and complete tasks. Key economic changes include:

  • Increased Sale Prices: Hay prices are up 25%, while bales, eco bricks, slabs, discs, and sacks now sell for approximately 69% more.
  • Reduced Order Demands: Most orders now require about 40% less inventory. For example, the Dairy requirement has dropped from 480 to 200 bales, and Eco Bricks are down from 480 to 300.
  • Price Reductions: Panel Press plans now cost $400 (down from $800), and platform costs have been halved to $5 per square metre.
  • Order Parity: Every order now pays an amount equivalent to the raw sale value of its goods, ensuring that fulfilling orders is as profitable as selling items directly.

Progression and Quality of Life

Progression paths have been streamlined to help players advance more efficiently. The first compressor and its plans are now free with the order book, and upgrade tiers for belts, arms, compressors, and wrappers now feature three free levels instead of two. Additionally, the 'Carry More' upgrade has been expanded with two new levels, allowing players to hold up to seven items at once.

Depot and Machine Improvements

The Depot received several functional updates, including 'TAKE ONE' and 'TAKE MAX' options for manual stock retrieval and a new 'Shelf Limits' card ($600) to manage inventory levels. A new 'UPGRADE' tab has been added to each machine, providing a direct link to relevant tech cards. Machines will now also provide clearer feedback, such as 'SHORT OF POWER' warnings and throughput notifications on the Biogas Digester.

The developers have noted that further updates are expected almost every day throughout the coming week as they continue to fine-tune the game balance.
