Factory Automation and Resource Harvesting
In Sandustry, players land on a strange world featuring wide hills and varied biomes to build a working outpost. The game turns every pixel of the environment into a usable resource that can be dug up and fed into factory systems. Beyond standard belts, filters, and pipes, players can utilize pumps, drones, and local creatures to manage production lines.
Environmental interactions play a major role in setup complexity. Heat and chemical reactions alter the terrain, causing ice to melt, water to turn to steam, and fire to spread across a setup. These reactions can assist with deep mining and puzzles as players dig through crust layers toward the core.
Linux and Steam Deck Support
Linux players receive a native version right at launch, removing the need for a Windows compatibility layer like Proton. While the game is playable on Steam Deck, specific Deck certification ratings, frame rate targets, and Vulkan support details have not been confirmed by the developer.
The early access release also includes broad language support, covering German, French, Polish, Ukrainian, Chinese, Korean, Japanese, Brazilian Portuguese, Latin American Spanish, and several Nordic and Central European languages.
