Rhapsody II: Ballad of the Little Princess is heading to modern hardware with a new Japanese Console Archives port confirmed for the PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch 2.
Unlike the first title in the series, this new release only appears to feature the Japanese version. The restriction stems from the fact that the original PlayStation 1 release of the game never received an official localization outside of Japan.
Quick Facts
- Game: Rhapsody II: Ballad of the Little Princess
- New Development: Japanese Console Archives port announced
- Platforms: PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch 2
- Language Version: Japanese only (due to the original PS1 release lacking a Western localization)
For players tracking classic RPG ports on current-generation hardware, this release brings the sequel to newer consoles, though non-Japanese speakers will face a language barrier given the lack of an English script in the original release.
