About the Release and Story
Originally released by Nippon Ichi Software in 1999 for a 32-bit home console, Rhapsody II: Ballad of the Little Princess is set 12 years after the events of Rhapsody: A Musical Adventure. The musical RPG follows Kururu, the daughter of Cornet and Prince Ferdinand, as she embarks on a journey to find her ideal prince.
This version is part of Hamster's Console Archives series, which brings classic home console titles to modern gaming platforms. The re-release features a newly revamped battle system with increased tactical depth, alongside modern convenience additions.
Console Archives Features
To assist players in completing the classic title, the Console Archives release includes customizable button layouts, rapid-fire settings, multiple save points, and a rewind function. Players can also adjust screen layouts and apply CRT TV visual filters to recreate the nostalgic atmosphere of the original hardware.
While the game's manual and user interface support English, the publisher noted that the in-game content is available in Japanese only.
