Ubisoft has released the latest set of balancing adjustments for Rainbow Six Siege, focusing on refining operator roles and providing more consistency across both PC and console platforms. This mid-season update specifically targets the projectile denial meta while adjusting utility for several key attackers and defenders.
Operator Balancing Adjustments
The developer is looking to further differentiate Wamai and Jäger, two operators who occupy similar tactical spaces. By providing Wamai with more reactive tools and Jäger with increased mobility, the team aims to clarify their respective roles.
Wamai
Wamai is being repositioned as a high-input, reactive catcher. The following changes are live:
- Mag-Net System: Charge update frequency is now 20s (down from 40s), and the total maximum charges have increased to 7. Activation time is reduced to 0.5s.
- Loadout: Wamai now has access to the Deployable Shield, and his Impact Grenades have been replaced with C4.
Jäger
To reinforce his mobility, Jäger has been adjusted to a 3 Speed, 1 Health configuration. His utility remains static, but his speed should allow for faster rotations and more efficient preparation phase setups. Additionally, the 416-C carbine has received recoil improvements, including smoothed lateral recoil and a softened recoil evolution, to ensure the weapon remains reliable during longer engagements.
Dokkaebi
Dokkaebi’s Jegeo Payload has moved to a per-target cooldown system of 14 seconds, up from the previous global 7-second cooldown. This change is intended to provide defenders with clearer recovery windows and force more strategic target selection from Dokkaebi players.
Zofia
Zofia continues to receive refinements to her kit. Her KS79 Lifeline now carries increased ammunition, with both Concussion and Impact Grenades set to 3 charges each, up from 2.
Quality-of-Life Refinements
Beyond the major operator changes, several smaller tweaks have been implemented to improve gameplay consistency:
- Rauora: The D.O.M. Panel cooldown between shots is reduced to 1s (from 3s).
- Melusi: The Banshee area of effect is increased to 4.3m (from 4m).
- Twitch: Shock Drone laser charge refill time is reduced to 28s (from 30s).
- Lesion: Gu Mine refill time is now 25s (down from 30s).
These updates are currently live on PC and console. Players can track ongoing issues or report bugs via the official R6Fix portal.
