A new PC update has rolled out for the early access strategy title on Steam (App 1067360), introducing a requested soldier aging toggle, an exile mechanic, automatic save backups, and a wide array of combat balance tweaks.
Quick Facts
- Platform: PC (Steam)
- Availability: Live now for early access players
- Key Additions: Soldier aging toggle, Exile feature, and automatic save backups
Major Additions and Quality of Life Features
The patch introduces several structural adjustments based on player reports gathered during early access. Leaders can now toggle the Soldier Aging system on or off. When enabled, units age gradually over time; when disabled, they stay at peak condition. This setting can be adjusted at any time and applies instantly.
An Exile feature has also been added, giving players a way to remove redundant or low-contribution soldiers to free up space and resources for elite forces. To protect against technical interruptions, the update implements automatic save backups that preserve previous progress if the game experiences a crash, freeze, or system error.
Additional base and inventory improvements allow Leaders to manually specify exact item quantities when depositing resources into buildings, while upgrade point costs have been reduced for regular soldiers, elites, and bosses.
Combat Balance and Bug Fixes
Combat adjustments lower the difficulty of Infested Nest battles and reduce the melee damage of Vicious Venom Bugs and Crimson Crawlers, alongside reduced toxic mist damage from Crimson Spiders. Elite and boss insect units now restore a smaller percentage of HP, and research times for the Prison have been shortened.
The patch also resolves multiple technical issues, including a save loading failure tied to specific actions, a crash during the Scourgeborn Arena battle, and a display bug on Windows systems using the Turkish locale that caused base building models to render incorrectly. Players do not need to take any manual action beyond downloading the update through Steam to access these changes.
