A fresh update for Moonlight Peaks is rolling out to PC players today, delivering a significant batch of quality-of-life improvements and technical bug fixes. The developers have responded to player feedback by addressing issues ranging from inventory management to game-breaking save file errors.

Quick Facts

  • Storage: House Storage is now accessible from anywhere on your plot, including barns and greenhouses, with added Quick Transfer functionality.
  • Performance: Loading times for all scenes have been improved, and beehive-related performance drops have been resolved.
  • Save Files: Previously missing save files have been restored.
  • Controller Support: The update fixes an issue where Steam Deck controls defaulted to keyboard and mouse, and resolves gamepad interaction bugs caused by hidden cursors.

Gameplay and Interaction Fixes

The update streamlines several core mechanics. Embroidery now unlocks earlier in the game, allowing players to initiate embroidery-themed dates with NPCs sooner. Additionally, tree seeds now correctly display the seasons in which their produce grows, rather than the seasons the tree itself is active.

Several progression-blocking bugs have also been addressed:

  • Cutscene Triggers: Fixed issues where the Crow Introduction, Dead Crops, and Keg cutscenes prevented other events—such as Death handing over the Antique Clock or specific NPC Heart Events—from triggering.
  • Gift Exchanges: Resolved instances where players would get stuck during the Loveage Gift Exchange or after gifting Seaweed.
  • Quality Control: Higher-quality items placed in decorate mode will now properly remove from your inventory, and crafting higher-tier items will no longer leave low-quality ingredients behind.

Technical and Stability Improvements

Beyond gameplay, the team has tackled several technical hurdles. Beyond the restoration of missing save files, the update includes a fix for the Net, which previously consumed energy even on missed swings. Players should also find Orlock easier to interact with while he is seated, and the Moonlight Ball crowning ceremony now triggers at the intended speed.

The developers noted that while these fixes address a large portion of player inquiries, they are still actively investigating other known issues and will provide further details as soon as they are available.
