Capcom is shaking up the Monster Hunter Wilds storefront. Starting August 4, 2026, the game will receive a permanent price reduction. While specific pricing details have yet to be disclosed, the move follows a series of changes to the game's available bundles and add-on content.
New Bundles and Retiring Editions
Alongside the price drop, Capcom is retiring several existing purchase options. As of August 4, the Monster Hunter Wilds Deluxe Edition, Premium Deluxe Edition, and the original Cosmetic DLC Pass will be removed from storefronts.
To replace these, Capcom is introducing three new purchasing tiers:
- Monster Hunter Wilds Gold Edition: A value-focused bundle containing the base game and the new Cosmetic DLC Collection.
- Monster Hunter Wilds Cosmetic DLC Collection: Includes the Deluxe Pack, the Extras Cosmetic DLC Pack, all Cosmetic DLC Packs 1-4, and the full Festival of Accord lineup (Blossomdance, Flamefete, Dreamspell, and Lumenhymn). This is aimed at players who already own the base game.
- Monster Hunter Wilds Extras Cosmetic DLC Pack: A bundle consisting of select paid cosmetic items that were previously sold only as standalone products.
Expanding the Reach
These changes arrive as Monster Hunter Wilds continues to broaden its presence. Following the game's initial launch in February 2025 on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series S/X, it was recently confirmed that the title is heading to the Nintendo Switch 2. This marks a notable expansion for the game after it skipped the original Nintendo Switch hardware.
While players have welcomed the news of the price reduction on social media, some in the community have noted that the game still requires vouchers for character appearance edits, a system that remains unchanged despite the incoming storefront updates.
