Vibrant Visuals and Switch Upgrade Path
The Nintendo Switch 2 version runs a suite of graphical enhancements dubbed Vibrant Visuals, which adds enhanced lighting and shadow effects to the game. Marketplace content largely supports these upgrades, alongside the Nintendo-exclusive Super Mario Mash-Up pack. However, Vibrant Visuals will not be active during certain gameplay features, such as split-screen sessions and specific Marketplace Worlds.
Players who currently own Minecraft on the original Nintendo Switch will have access to an upgrade path to transition their library to the new console. Mojang indicated that the upgrade does not appear to be free, with further pricing and availability details expected closer to launch.
