Platforms and Gameplay Details

During the June 2026 Nintendo Direct and subsequent updates, Square Enix confirmed that Kingdom Hearts 4 will launch simultaneously across all major platforms, including the Nintendo Switch 2. The game follows protagonist Sora as he explores the mysterious city of Quadratum, where new characters cross his path and new powers awaken for his next chapter.

Disney+ Anime Companion Series

Alongside the upcoming sequel, Disney announced a Kingdom Hearts anime series slated for Disney+. Developed in collaboration with creator Tetsuya Nomura and Square Enix, the series will feature a brand-new story that expands on the franchise universe while celebrating existing characters.
