Gameplay and World Updates

The latest footage from the D23 showcase highlights Sora in the new Coco-inspired world, where he utilizes a themed keyblade designed with elements like guitars, sugar skulls, and marigolds. The trailer depicts Sora fighting alongside Miguel and Hector against Heartless Shadows. Further scenes reveal Sora in the city of Quadratum, featuring appearances from Mickey Mouse, Goofy, and Hades, as well as spectral versions of Donald Duck and Goofy.

Kingdom Hearts Anime Series

In addition to the game's release window, Disney and Square Enix announced that a Kingdom Hearts anime series is currently in development. Creative director Tetsuya Nomura is involved in the project, which aims to expand the universe and feature iconic characters from the franchise. The series is slated for release on Disney Plus and the Disney Channel, though the companies have not yet provided a launch timeframe.
