Triomatica Games, the studio behind Boxville, has confirmed that its upcoming theatre-themed logic puzzle game, I Want to Play the Villain!, will launch on PC with native support for Linux, Mac, and Windows. Players can get their first look at the title when the free Steam demo releases on August 17, 2026.
Gameplay and Logic Mechanics
The game tasks players with managing a cast of actors within a series of stage-based logic puzzles. Each actor possesses specific goals, fears, and preferred roles. Players must evaluate these needs and strategically assign roles, swap costumes, and adjust the narrative to ensure the production succeeds. Because each change impacts the overall scene, the game emphasizes cause-and-effect decision-making across its chapters.
