Arrowhead Game Studios has confirmed that the long-teased Warhammer 40,000 crossover for Helldivers 2 will officially launch on August 12, 2026. Titled "Castellan’s Creed," the new warbond brings a selection of gear and cosmetics inspired by the elite Cadian Kasrkin troops of the Astra Militarum to the game.

Quick Facts

  • Release Date: August 12, 2026
  • Platforms: PC and PlayStation 5
  • Theme: Astra Militarum / Warhammer 40,000
  • Availability: Purchasable via Super Credits (not eligible for premium warbond tokens)

New Gear and Stratagems

The Castellan’s Creed warbond focuses on two primary armor sets: the heavy Demo-Trooper set and the medium Sharpshooter set. Both armor types provide passive bonuses that improve weapon handling and speed up support weapon reloads.

For armaments, players will have access to a hot-shot marksman rifle, which is designed for short-to-long-range versatility, and a new bolt pistol sidearm. The update also introduces the meltagun as a summonable stratagem and meltamines as throwable equipment, offering players new ways to deal with enemies beyond the standard flamethrower options.

Lore and Anti-Cheat Updates

Arrowhead has provided a lore justification for the crossover, stating the gear was commissioned to honor the Helldivers who died during a last stand on the world of Chara in the First Galactic War.

Alongside the new content, developers are working to improve the overall game experience by addressing exploitation. Earlier this month, the studio announced a new anti-cheat policy aimed at preventing players from using exploits to artificially inflate their acquisition of super credits, ensuring the game's economy remains balanced for all participants.
