Quick Facts
- Release Date: April 7, 2027

The release date announcement, delivered during Gamescom’s Opening Night Live, was accompanied by a new cinematic gameplay trailer. The footage provided a closer look at the game's third-person combat and exploration, as well as its unique companions: Salt, a sniper who utilizes smokescreens, and Emrys, who supports the player with remnant orbs.
Exodus is a single-player, choice-based RPG. A defining mechanic for the title is its time dilation feature, which causes the game world to progress by decades when players travel at lightspeed, forcing them to experience the long-term consequences of their decisions.
While the studio is composed of veterans from BioWare, 343, Electronic Arts, and Naughty Dog, Archetype Entertainment has emphasized that the game's scope and mechanics, such as the time dilation system, are intended to distinguish the title within the sci-fi genre.
