Metashift Labs has opened a full-scale multiplayer playtest for Dominus Automa, an idle-focused MMORPG designed for players who want to engage with persistent world mechanics without committing to a traditional time grind. The test is available now on PC via Steam and runs through August 23, 2026.
Quick Facts
- Platform: PC via Steam
- Playtest Window: Now through August 23, 2026
- Sign-ups: Over 6,500 users prior to launch
- Level Cap: 25 character levels
How Progression and Idle Mechanics Work
The core mechanic of Dominus Automa allows characters to continue progressing while players are offline. Users define their hero's priorities, skills, and combat logic, which the game executes automatically. When online, participants can engage in standard MMO activities including dungeon crawling, guild wars, crafting, and player-led economic systems.
To accommodate busy schedules, Metashift Labs allows players to manage character priorities or issue direct commands remotely using voice input or a mobile device.
Playtest Content and Features
The current multiplayer session introduces specific features for participants to test over the two-week period:
- New Class: The Paladin is available for selection.
- Combat Systems: Access to 24 skills and a 'combat matrix' to configure AI behavior.
- World Scope: Ten distinct locations, 20 enemy types, and three bosses.
