The 2.0 update for Pokemon Pokopia introduces the Portal Pod, a long-awaited shared storage system that allows players to access items and materials across different towns. Similar to storage systems in other survival titles, the Portal Pod removes the need to carry specific items or manually transport them between locations.

1. Unlock the Crafting Recipe

Before you can build a unit, you must unlock the recipe. Follow these steps:

  1. Level up the environment in Palette Town.
  2. Interact with any Pokemon Center PC.
  3. Purchase the Portal Pod recipe for 3,000 coins.

2. Gather Materials

Once you have the recipe, you will need the following materials to craft the unit at a crafting station:

  • 10 Pokemetal: If you are short on this resource, the fastest method is to visit Sky Dream Island with Drifloon.
  • 1 Rare Pokemetal: This is a required component for the build.

3. Using Your Shared Storage

You can place a Portal Pod in each town you visit. Because the storage is shared, any item you place into a Portal Pod in one town—such as ore collected from Rocky Ridges—will be immediately available to retrieve from a Portal Pod in any other town. Each unit supports up to 140 item slots, providing a convenient way to manage resources without the need for constant fast traveling.
