Splatoon Raiders features a trio of non-playable supporting characters alongside your main protagonist, The Mechanic. Recruiting these characters allows players to unleash distinct abilities on the battlefield while exploring the Spirhalite Islands from the Hideout Ship base.

Quick Facts

  • Protagonist: The Mechanic, who can switch between squid and humanoid forms.
  • Supporting Characters: Shiver, Frye, and Big Man from Deep Cut.
  • Combat Abilities: Unique Showstoppers tied to character bonds and progression.

The Mechanic

The Mechanic serves as the primary character you control in Splatoon Raiders, operating as the pilot of the ship carrying Deep Cut members. As The Mechanic, you get roped into treasure-hunting across the Spirhalite Islands.

Players can customize their general appearance—including hair, skin, and clothes—and equip them with weapons, gadgets, relic powers, a tank type, and a customizable Exploration Bot appearance. Tank power can be leveled up and improved at The Mechanic's Shack.

Shiver

Shiver returns from Splatoon 3 as the blue-haired quasi-leader of Deep Cut. Players can recruit her to fight alongside them in the Exploration Bot, raise their bond level to acquire Briny Scrolls, and utilize her assistance in the Gadget Workshop.

  • Showstopper: Shark Bite, which has Shiver ride Master Mega in a straight line to attack.
  • Briny Scrolls: Three scrolls related to the Hohojiro Clan.

Frye

Frye is a yellow-haired returning character from Splatoon 3 who assists players from the Hideout Ship. Outside of the Exploration Bot, her specialty move scales with her bond level with The Mechanic. At the Hideout Ship, she helps upgrade weapons in the Weapons Stash or converts them into materials.

  • Showstopper: Morays in the Air, where Frye's flute summons moray eels to attack a wide area. Bond strength increases damage and area of effect, and ferments any caught Salmonids.
  • Briny Scrolls: Three scrolls related to the Onaga Clan.

Big Man

Big Man acts as the band's producer and catalogs information learned from treasure hunts, providing details about Salmonids, gadgets, weapons, and other discoveries.

  • Showstopper: Manta Dance, letting players ride on an invisible Big Man to slam into foes while shooting with L and R to lure in hit Salmonids.
  • Briny Scrolls: Three scrolls related to the Manta Clan.
