In Splatoon Raiders, exploring offshoot paths and checking out of the way ledges will often lead you to a crucial collectible: the compass. Unlike standard, weapon, or gem crates, compasses are exclusively housed inside blue crates scattered across the game's main treasure-hunting islands. They do not spawn in boss temples or buried ruins.
Picking up a compass makes it appear on your main overworld map. By following its signal—such as a blue circle that fills up the dial—you can track down and unearth one of 24 food-themed Sampler Dungeons. These challenge stages reward you with a skill point upon completion.
Splatoon Raiders Blue Crate Compass Locations Guide
Compasses are hidden across 21 different island levels, with three additional compasses available as rewards for completing Chowda, Unnyarang, and Minchup Buried Ruins on Super Spicy mode. Here is where to find every individual compass on the map:
- Tumetto Rocks: Found on a small island just off the mainland. Use a bot hop to cross safely.
- Lintle Inlet: Located right along the main path on top of a grate in mid-air.
- Carbanyara Wetlands: Positioned behind a large rock on the circular end of the sandy outcrop.
- Pipyoni Cliffs: Sits in a gap between the rocks on the left-hand side of the main path.
- Fridda Trail: Reachable via a sneaky bot hop that may take a few tries.
- Taytur Rocks: A grate hangs off a ledge, triggering a wind tunnel that lets you glide down to the crate. Watch out for a Maws spawning on the small island.
- Yaksubi Volcano: After jumping across gaps using tall plants and fighting enemies, look in a small alcove on the left. The compass is under and behind regular crates.
- Kreyp Lava Lake: Located on a mysterious, foggy island guarded by a Salty Tongue.
- Soyu Cliffs: Up on a ledge where standard bot hops won't reach—requiring a combination of gadgets and relic powers.
- Uven Crater: Placed directly in your path as you cross a grate.
- Sahlse Vents: Reached by using an air vent to cross to a separate island surrounded by Salmonids.
- Kurmuh Lava Flows: Positioned directly in your path, sitting just behind some regular crates.
- Choclet Iceberg: Hop down a mysterious floor grate in the main map, clear out the monsters, and find the blue crate inside the cave.
- Toonya Glacier: Reach a section with two sets of rotating icebergs, then look left for a crevice in the wall accessible via bot hops or squid jumps.
- Vanilo Mountain: Climb the three ledges on a slippery slope alcove, then follow the path to the edge of the area.
- Yillatay Icicles: Located in plain sight at the top of the mountain.
- Sweeshrim Peak: Found in a crate inside an alcove surrounded by Sparky Salmonids.
- Rinboh Lake: Positioned on the main path behind a Big Shot hopping on a concrete slope.
- Krimpuff Cave: Shoot the propeller on the ice block to break a wall, then hop up to grab the crate.
- Seaza Mountains: Use wind currents from tall plants to scale a slope, leading to a pile of crates containing the compass.
- Baygull Beach: Located by a red crystal at the far side of the map, situated between Stinger ink blasts.
