Fans of the pressure-washing phenomenon will soon have a new galaxy to scrub. FuturLab has officially revealed the PowerWash Simulator 2 Star Wars DLC, bringing the iconic sci-fi franchise into the game’s cleaning rotation. The announcement follows a hands-on preview event held at Madame Tussauds in London, where players got an early look at the scale of the upcoming content.

Quick Facts

  • Content: Six themed levels based on the Star Wars universe.
  • Key Locations: Includes the Mos Eisley cantina, an AT-AT, and an X-Wing hangar.
  • Developer: FuturLab.
  • Performance: The game continues to run smoothly on current hardware, supporting massive structures like the Millennium Falcon.

Cleaning the Galaxy

The new expansion leans heavily into the source material, tasking players with removing dirt, grime, and mysterious goop from some of the most recognizable machines and settings in cinema. During the preview, the AT-AT walker stood out as a highlight, requiring players to utilize scaffolding and abseil equipment to reach its highest points.

The Mos Eisley cantina level offers a more terrestrial challenge, focusing on bar tops and tables. Notably, the level features a static Han Solo, allowing players to work around the famous smuggler as they spray down the cantina’s interior. Another level takes place in a hangar, where players must clean an X-Wing. This specific stage requires a more precise approach, as users navigate tight corners and individual buttons to clear away dust and debris.

Performance and Development

FuturLab CEO Kirsty Rigden confirmed that the team was deeply involved in the creation of these themed stages, viewing the project as a dream collaboration. Despite the complexity of these assets—such as the massive scale of the Millennium Falcon, which the studio confirmed includes all four hundred of its dings—the game maintains the performance standards established by previous entries in the series.

While the game provides the environment, it does not include the Cantina band music, so players will need to provide their own audio accompaniment while they work. With no reported hang-ups or technical issues during the preview, the DLC appears ready to bring a new level of scale to the PowerWash experience.
