A new event in Pokémon TCG Pocket has introduced a high-ticket item that appears to be little more than a developer gag. The latest Team Rocket-themed update lists a pair of socks priced at 9,999 credits, sparking curiosity among players about whether the reward is achievable.

Can You Earn the Team Rocket Socks?
Collecting 9,999 credits for the socks is not realistically possible. Players earn tickets by completing Team Rocket event assignments, and the limited number of available tasks does not yield nearly enough currency to reach the asking price.
Beyond the cost, the item serves no functional purpose within the mobile card game. Unlike Pokémon Go, Pokémon TCG Pocket includes no character models or avatar customisation, focusing solely on digital card collections and decks. Because Team Rocket Grunts do not visibly wear socks in their standard uniforms, the high-priced reward functions as a joke item for the community.
How to Access Team Rocket's Secret Shop
While the socks remain out of reach, players can still unlock other event items by accessing Team Rocket's Secret Shop. Tapping a small sticker near the bottom of the shop screen opens the secret menu, where standard covers and coins are available.
Unlocking these alternative rewards requires completing Team Rocket Special Assignments found under the missions tab. Players must collect 35 cards featuring 'Team Rocket's' in their name—obtained through standard pack openings of Team Rocket's Ambition or via Wonder Pick—alongside three special cards: Thieving Machine, Master Plan, and Goo-zooka. The event runs until late September, leaving players ample time to grind out pack hourglasses and complete the missions.
