Rather than playing through the usual tutorial, players engaging with this option will read mini-essays detailing the developer's life, the inspiration behind the game, and the events that transpired after release.
Reflecting on the period following launch, Heather Flowers shared personal context in the update notes regarding the challenges faced during development: "When I put out Unfair Flips, I was incredibly sick, and the months that followed were some of the hardest of my life. This is the story of how I nearly died, and how I came back to life."
Steam Trading Cards and Point Shop Items
Beyond the commentary essays, what is included in Unfair Flips update covers new Steam inventory features. Players can now earn a set of five Steam Trading Cards. Completing each collection unlocks a badge alongside free point-shop items, including three distinct profile backgrounds and five emoticons available to acquire through the Steam Points Shop.
