Fields of Mistria is set to release its 1.0 update on August 5, 2026, at 5:00 PM BST on PC. Ahead of the launch, the development team has shared an FAQ answering key player questions regarding save files, pricing, achievements, and future updates.
Quick Facts
- Release Date: August 5, 2026 at 5:00 PM BST
- Platform: PC (Steam)
- Price: £11.79 (no price increase for 1.0)
Save Files and Achievements Carry Over
Players jumping into the 1.0 update won't need to start a fresh playthrough. Existing Early Access saves will seamlessly transition into the full release, allowing players to access all new content immediately upon booting up the game. Furthermore, achievements will work retroactively. Simply opening an established save file will grant players every achievement earned up to that point, including early-game milestones.
Relationships and Family Options
The 1.0 release clarifies how romance mechanics handle multiple partners. If players date multiple characters and choose to marry one, the remaining romantic partners will drop down to best friend status. Additionally, marriage brings player control over family planning, allowing users to choose whether or not they want to have a baby.
Localization and Future Content
Language support for update 1.0 includes Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Japanese, Korean, French, Spanish, and Russian. Localization is expected to be roughly 75% completed at launch, meaning some late-game features might have missing or incomplete text until subsequent patches arrive. Beyond the 1.0 launch, the team has confirmed plans for additional content updates.
At present, the developer's primary focus remains on the PC release. Console versions will be evaluated and decided upon after the PC launch is complete.
