Microsoft has officially increased the retail price of its current-generation hardware. Following an announcement made in June, the new pricing for Xbox Series X and S consoles took effect globally on August 1, 2026.

- Xbox Series S 512GB: $499.99 (previously $399.99)
Europe
- Xbox Series X: €799.99 (previously €599.99)

This update follows a series of hardware price adjustments across the industry. Sony previously increased the cost of PlayStation 5 models in April, and Nintendo has confirmed that the price of the Switch 2 will increase to $500 in the US and €500 in Europe on September 1, 2026.
