CD Projekt RED Targets 2028 Release Window for The Witcher IV

CD Projekt RED has officially stated that The Witcher IV is targeting a 2028 release window. During a recent update regarding the studio's upcoming projects, joint-CEO Michal Nowakowski confirmed the internal target while noting that the team is not yet ready to share an exact launch date.

While the studio has not revealed which consoles or storefronts the game will support, Nowakowski described the project as the company's “biggest, boldest, and most ambitious game to date.” The title is currently in development by a team of more than 500 developers and will feature an open world and a new narrative arc centered on Ciri.

For those awaiting more content from the franchise, the studio is also preparing The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – Songs of the Past, which is scheduled for a 2027 release. Regarding the new saga, Nowakowski emphasized that the team is still in the production phase, stating, “I know it’s a bit of a wait and you’d love to play it sooner, but let the team cook. It will be worth the wait.”
