How to Get the Rich! Millionaire Achievement
To unlock the Rich! Millionaire achievement in How to Fish you must sell a single fish for $100,000 or more. Because no fish reaches this value naturally, you must utilize the game's volcano and casino mechanics to multiply the base value of your catch.
Step 1: Reach the Fourth Island
Progress to the fourth island, which features a volcano. This location is essential because it allows you to purchase the Scientific Lure which is required to consistently catch fish with a high enough base value (raw worth of at least $1,906).
Step 2: Cook Your Catch
Once you have caught a fish with a base value of $1,906 or higher, throw it into the volcano. The lava acts as a perfect cooking station, applying a 1.5x price multiplier to your fish. This results in a new value of at least $2,858, which is the minimum threshold needed to reach $100,000 after the roulette multiplier.
Step 3: The Roulette Gamble
Take your cooked fish to the roulette table. You must place your fish as a bet on Green. If you win, you receive a 35x return on your bet, pushing the value above $100,000. Selling the fish after this win will trigger the achievement.
Tips for Success
- Inventory Management: Keep as many inventory slots empty as possible before heading to the casino. This allows you to carry multiple cooked fish, increasing your chances if you lose your first few bets.
- Persistence: Betting on Green is the most difficult way to win at the table, as it has only one chamber. Be prepared for multiple failed attempts; it is common to need nearly 20 tries to secure the win.
- Bonus Achievement: Winning on Green for the first time will also unlock the All In achievement.
Note that this process is entirely optional and is not required to complete the core game. If you catch fish worth less than $1,906, it is more efficient to sell them immediately to fund more lures rather than attempting to use them for this specific achievement.
