Similarly, Fallout 4 has reached 35 million copies sold, a milestone reached as the title recently marked its 10-year anniversary.
Beyond these specific sales figures, Bethesda provided broader statistics regarding its output over the last four decades. According to the studio, nearly half a billion people have played at least one game from their catalog. This includes Starfield, which has seen 17 million players log nearly a billion hours of total playtime to date.
Current Development Focus
The studio also clarified its current internal development priorities. While Skyrim continues to see active exploration years after its launch, Bethesda noted that The Elder Scrolls VI is currently the primary focus for the majority of the development team. Meanwhile, the next entry in the post-apocalyptic series, Fallout 5, is currently in the preproduction phase.
Mobile and live-service titles also remain significant pillars for the studio. Fallout Shelter has reached a milestone of 250 million players, maintaining its position as a primary mobile experience for the franchise. Additionally, the studio confirmed that Fallout 76 continues to maintain a large active player base.
