A 74-year-old gamer, known in the community as The Elder Lord, has officially earned the Platinum Trophy in Elden Ring. This achievement places him among the less than 11 percent of players who have successfully collected all 42 PlayStation trophies for the FromSoftware title.

A Significant Milestone in the Lands Between

The player shared his achievement on Reddit, noting that he has accumulated roughly 1,075 hours of playtime on his PlayStation console, with additional playthroughs completed on Xbox Series X. The feat required navigating some of the game's most demanding content, including securing multiple endings—Age of the Stars, Elden Lord, and Lord of Frenzied Flame—and overcoming formidable bosses such as Malenia, Commander Niall, Astel, Naturalborn of the Void, and Dragonlord Placidusax.

Beyond combat, the Platinum journey involved tracking down every legendary weapon, spirit ash, talisman, and incantation scattered throughout the open world. The player previously gained community recognition in 2022 when he defeated Elden Ring and its Shadow of the Erdtree expansion on NG+7 at the age of 72.

Community Reaction

The gaming community has responded with widespread support for the accomplishment. Fellow players on Reddit praised the dedication required to complete the challenging RPG, with one user calling him "The Elden King." The player himself expressed his enthusiasm for the experience, describing Elden Ring as a "magnificent game."

Elden Ring remains a notable title in the action-RPG genre, currently maintaining a 95/100 Top Critic Average on OpenCritic. Published by Bandai Namco and developed by FromSoftware, the game is available across PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series S/X, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
